Breaking: New Research Exposes Surprising Benefits of Combining Mental and Physi

New research reveals that the combination of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and a topical minoxidil solution is more effective in promoting hair regrowth than PRP with oral finasteride in patients with androgenetic alopecia.

A study published in a reputable medical journal involved 25 participants, aged 39.9 years on average, who received either a 5% minoxidil solution or oral finasteride as part of their treatment regimen.

Following the administration of PRP and minoxidil to one side of the head, and placebo injection with minoxidil to the other, researchers observed significant improvements in hair count, density, and terminal hair density on the PRP-treated side compared to baseline measurements at both three and six months.

Key findings included:

• A statistically significant increase in mean hair count and density at three months (P < .05).
• A positive effect of PRP associated with medication on mean hair count, density, terminal hair density, anagen hairs, and telogen hairs compared to baseline measurements at six months (P < .05).

The researchers concluded that the combination of PRP and minoxidil demonstrated superiority over PRP with finasteride in terms of mean hair count, density, anagen, and telogen percentages, as well as the anagen/telogen ratio at six months.
